REGISTRATION CLOSES ON
SUNDAY, MAY 4 AT 12:00 NOON.
ALL attending groups, INCLUDING PERFORMING GROUPS, MUST complete the "register my school" form below in order to attend.
PERFORMING GROUPS MUST COMPLETE THE PERFORMING GROUP REGISTRATION AS WELL.
Once Zone competitions have completed, all participating schools must submit their individual school reports and the Zone President will submit the Zone Report. Plays that are selected for perform at the Provincial Festival will then submit their performance registration and all other required forms in order to attend.

Production registration fee for performances is $120/play

An invoice will be sent via Quickbooks for payment after the registration deadline closes on May 4.
**Refunds for student attendance cancellations will only be processed until May 4, 2025 at 12:00 noon. Refund requests for will not be possible after this date.
DEADLINES

ALL Registration closes Sunday, May 4 at 12:00 PM

All performing schools should complete their registration no later than 72 hours after their Zone competition (this is a lot tighter for those who are holding their festivals on the same weekend as the registration deadline).

If a school misses the deadline, they forfeit participation in the festival performances unless prior arrangements have been made.
REQUIREMENTS FOR NON-PERFORMING SCHOOLS

Non-Performing schools are required to register their school's attendance

Submit the required Media Consent and Release Form (this will be emailed to each school's contact after registration) for each attendee and;

Pay the required fee of $30/student in attendance (an invoice will be sent to the school's contact after registration).
If you performed at a zone competition, you are also required to submit your school's Zone Report - Part B before you attend Festival.

Performing schools are required to provide the following forms and information in order to perform at festival. You can find more details about these requirements below. Any school who does not provide everything required will forfeit their chance to perform.

MEDIA CONSENT AND RELEASE
The Alberta High School Drama Festival Association (AHSDFA) Media Consent & Release Form allows us to capture and share the incredible creativity, talent, and passion of students participating in our festival. By signing this form, students (or their guardians) grant permission for AHSDFA to use photos, videos, and voice recordings taken during festival activities—including workshops, rehearsals, performances, and related events.
Why is this Important?
✔ Celebrating Student Achievements – We love showcasing the hard work and dedication of students through our website, social media, and promotional materials.
✔ Promoting Theatre Education – Sharing festival highlights helps inspire future students and support high school theatre programs across Alberta.
✔ Respecting Privacy & Choice – Signing the form is optional. If consent is not granted, we will make reasonable efforts to avoid capturing or using a student’s image, but incidental inclusion may still occur in group settings.
We have created a fillable form that accepts electronic signatures for this years festival. Once your school is registered, you will receive a link to your school-specific form link that can be sent to all guardians and independent students for signature. One less thing for you to remember to bring!
