FIGURING OUT FOOD
Meals are always tricky during festival with vendors on campus being closed or having reduced hours and no restaurants in walking distance of the venue.
When planning for food at festival, keep in mind:

What breaks you have and how long they are

Are you bringing your own food?

Do you need to order in?

Think about contacting restaurants ahead of time to make sure they can accommodate a large group delivery at the time you need

Remember that there can be long periods between meals

Consider having snacks available for the students that they can grab easily between shows or sessions. Communicate with our Front of House Director, Jessa Rasko, if you need a space to store these snacks during the day.

You are in for the long haul once you are on campus. Remind your students to bring refillable water bottles with them!

ON CAMPUS
THE LUX HOTEL
Located on the University of Lethbridge campus, the Lux Hotel has set aside full hotel service accommodations for schools attending the AHSDFA festival this year. They are located in one of the newest buildings on campus: Mount Blakiston House, completed in the Fall of 2013. You will enjoy the clean, fresh, affordable accommodations within walking distance of the Festival.
ROOMS ARE $50/PERSON/NIGHT
WHAT'S INCLUDED:

Free wireless internet, ensuite bathrooms, double beds, and flat-screen televisions are provided in all accommodations.

Each suite features either one or two attached full bathrooms.

Each bedroom is equipped with a desk/work area and offers beautiful window views.

Each living room is well-equipped with a flat-screen LCD TV that is HDMI compatible.

All of our suites come with a kitchen, including an oven, stove, and microwave.

The building offers air conditioning in common spaces and hallways only; individual suites and apartments do not have air conditioning.

Laundry facilities are available on-site for all your laundry needs, operated with Bridge Bucks cards purchasable at the front desk.
